500 agents to join MSC Grandiosa in Southampton

MSC Cruises will carry out what it is calling its “largest face-to-face engagement drive” by inviting more than 14,000 travel agents on board MSC Grandiosa in eight different ports.

The UK & Irish markets will be celebrating the launch of the new ship in Southampton on November 12, which will see more than 500 agents visiting the ship for a one night stay.

It will include an interactive ship tour, theatre shows and dinner in one of the ships 12 unique dining venues.

MSC Cruises UK & Ireland MD Antonio Paradiso said: “Over the last 3 years we have made it our priority to get as many agents as possible on our ships to experience everything MSC Cruises has to offer. The feedback from our MSC Bellissima event in March which saw over 3,000 agents visit the ship was overwhelming and it’s a pleasure to be back in the Port of Southampton with an even bigger ship and the chance to give a further 500 agents a chance to spend the night onboard”

He added “As always with MSC Cruises those attending should expect a great party as we celebrate not only the launch of our new ship MSC Grandiosa, but as we celebrate the dynamic and exciting UK & Irish cruise industry.”

Seven ‘All Stars of the Sea’ awards events will be held to recognise the efforts and achievements of travel agents from all around the world, recognising MSC Cruises distribution in more than 80 countries.

MSC Grandiosa will commence its regular seven-night cruises in the Western Mediterranean from November 23 with six embarkation ports calling Genoa, Civitavecchia, Italy; Palermo, Sicily; Valetta, Malta; Barcelona, Spain and Marseille, France.
