A-Rosa restarts operations in France following Rhine and Danube success
River line now operating on Douro, Rhine and Danube
A-Rosa has restarted river cruises in France with its first departure on the Rhone leaving Lyon on July 11.
The resumption of French cruises follows those on the Douro, Rhine and Danube last month.
New protocols have been put in place across A-Rosa’s fleet, including 1.5 metre social distancing, table service at meals and “intensified” hygiene protocols.
Jörg Eichler, CEO of A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH said: “We have already received really positive feedback from our first guests regarding our trips on the Douro, Rhine and Danube and the straightforward implementation of our hygiene concept. We are really pleased that we can now sail on the Rhone again and look forward to welcoming our guests on board for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.”
Lucia Rowe, managing director of A-Rosa River Cruises UK & Ireland added: “This is yet another milestone in our return to Europe’s rivers. France is one of the most popular and accessible destinations for our UK guests and we can’t wait for them to be able return, just as soon as the FCO advice alters or is lifted. Our itineraries on the Rhone pass through the most beautiful places in Provence and the south of France and our ships which sail there are tailor-made for the enjoyment of the typcial savoir-vivre.”
