AmaWaterways announces second river cruise ship in Egypt
The line has reported "wonderful interest" in Egypt from both repeat and new customers
AmaWaterways is launching its second ship in Egypt, named AmaLilia, which will set sail in 2024.
Last week the line celebrated the close of AmaDahlia’s first season on Egypt’s Nile River.
Like AmaDahlia, AmaLilia will sail the Secrets of Egypt & the Nile itinerary, an 11-night cruise and land experience including a seven-night roundtrip river cruise from Luxor, paired with stays in Cairo.
Similar to her sister ship, AmaLilia will be designed with regionally inspired décor and a specialty restaurant will be included in the river cruise fare.
Executive vice president and co-founder Kristin Karst said: “It is incredibly exciting to be able to expand our river cruise offerings on the legendary Nile River with AmaLilia, which will be another stunning, intimate ship.
“Egypt is one of the most fascinating destinations in the world and we’ve seen such wonderful interest from both our loyal guests as well as new guests since we launched our first ship there in September 2021. We look forward to welcoming even more travellers to join us to experience the ancient wonders of Egypt!”
