American Queen releases first UK trade-friendly brochure

Brochure includes four new itineraries

American Queen Voyages has published its first trade dedicated brochure.

Produced by the company’s UK GSA, Light Blue Travel, the brochure features four itineraries completely new to the UK market. There will also be a digital version of the brochure that will exclude pricing and a call to action to enable tailor-made quotes.

The brochure is available to view, download, or share on American Queen Voyages’ UK travel partners resource portal .

The company is famous for its fleet of iconic paddlewheel steamboats, American Queen, American Countessand American Empress, which cruise the Mississippi, Ohio, Cumberland and Tennessee rivers in the Deep South and through America’s Heartland, and the Snake and Columbia rivers in the Pacific Northwest.

Also featured in the new brochure will be Alaskan expedition cruising onboard the company’s 186 guest, expedition ship, Ocean Victory.

The 14 itineraries are featured in the brochure and the four new itineraries that haven’t been available to UK customers before are cruises on the Upper Mississippi and its tributaries – Ohio, Cumberland, Illinois and Tennessee Rivers.

These are:-

  • Upper Mississippi

-9 days St Louis to Minneapolis – Mississippi & Illinois Rivers

  • America’s Heartlands

-9 Days Memphis to Louisville – Ohio & Mississippi Rivers.

-9 Days Louisville to Pittsburgh – Ohio & Mississippi Rivers

-9 Days Nashville to St Louis: Mississippi, Tennessee & Cumberland Rivers

In addition, American Queen Voyages has added new 4, 5 and 9-Day New Orleans roundtrip itineraries on the Lower Mississippi, and an 8-Days Roundtrip Portland itinerary on the Snake & Columbia rivers.

Light Blue Travel’s commercial director (UK & Europe) Michelle Daniels said: “Up to now cruises on the Lower Mississippi between New Orleans and Memphis have been the most popular with UK travellers.  Cruise and US specialist agents will be pleased that they can now offer something different – especially to their loyal repeat customers, who may have previously cruised the Lower Mississippi.

“The Upper Mississippi and its tributaries, as depicted in Mark Twain’s novels, bring a changing lush landscape, combined with small-town America historical towns and sites, alongside famous cities such as Nashville, St Louis and Minneapolis.”
