APT creates new BDM for homeworkers

Becky Baumbach will fill the new position to develop sales, relationships and opportunities in partnership with homeworking agents

Luxury river cruise, small ship cruising and touring specialist APT has continued the expansion of its trade support team by creating a dedicated homeworkers’ business development manager (BDM) role.

Becky Baumbach, who has served as APT and Travelmarvel’s BDM for more than four years, will take on the position from December 1 to develop sales, relationships and opportunities in partnership with homeworking agents.

Reporting into APT and Travelmarvel’s head of sales and business development, Brad Bennetts, Baumbach will engage the relevant head offices and support them with marketing and sales campaigns to increase their business and revenues.

She will also lead an extensive training programme, creating customer and engagement events to help enhance sales conversions for agents.

Brad Bennetts said: “As we all seek more flexibility in our working lives, homeworking has exploded post-pandemic. We recognise that homeworking agents are an integral part of our industry, and of our business, and we want to ensure that they are equipped with all the necessary support.

“Offering superb new ships, some of the most exciting cruising and touring products in the market, and fantastic, value-add offers, we are making sure that homeworkers have access to the best resources for their sales success. Becky is the perfect person to drive this forward.”

APT is now recruiting for a new BDM to cover the UK’s Southwestern region, which was previously covered by Baumbach.
