APT to launch three new river ships
River cruise line APT will launch three new river ships in the Travelmarvel fleet from April 2020. Two further ships will follow in 2021.
The first, the Travelmarvel Contemporary Class River Ship, will offer guests a relaxed atmosphere, more places to dine than the two existing ships in the fleet (Travelmarvel Diamond and Travelmarvel Jewel), and light-filled cabins.
The Top Deck will feature a new terrace and roof garden, while on the Upper Deck, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows can be opened to let air flow through. Main and Upper Deck staterooms include French balconies that open at the touch of a button.
Two further ships which are yet to be named, will join the fleet in 2021.
The Contemporary Class River Ship will operate on APT’s Essential European Gems route, sailing from Budapest to Amsterdam from April 2020.
All meals are included – options include the pub-style McGeary’s Bar, named after the McGeary family who have owned and run APT for more than 90 years, the Vista Lounge and a fine dining restaurant.
Paul Melinis, managing director of APT UK and Europe explains: “We are delighted to introduce this ship to our Essential River Cruise range for 2020. The options available on this river ship are a unique selling point for agents, as with all our products the difference is in the detail. Here agents can focus on the flexibility on offer, whether it comes to dining or unwinding, each area offers something special.”
