Aurora Expeditions appoints new BDM in UK

Katie Harber is joining the team as the company aims to "grow and invest" in the UK market

Australian adventure travel company Aurora Expeditions has announced it is growing its UK team, with Katie Harber joining as a new business development manager.

Harber joins the existing UK team of Jos Dewing, managing director UK, and business development manager James Turner.  She has a varied range of travel industry experience, including work with tour operators, a small ship start-up and on board cruise ships.

Dewing said: “Aurora Expeditions is committed to growing and investing in the UK market. We have seen incredibly strong growth from this market, particularly with our continued innovation in product offering and expansion of voyages within the European Arctic and British Isles, such as the unique ‘Jewels of Coastal UK’ itinerary sailing in 2023.

“We are thrilled to welcome Katie to the Aurora family and look forward to working together with our valued trade networks to continue to raise awareness of Aurora’s unique offering and meet the growing trend of remote travel to the polar regions and beyond.”

Aurora Expeditions’ second purpose-built expedition ship, the Sylvia Earle, is due to debut in November.

The company recently released a new season of 2023-24 Antarctica and 2023 Arctic and British Isles voyages.
