Belmond to launch luxury French river vessel
Coquelicot sees the brand partner with Maison Ruinart to take guests on a journey through the vineyards of the Champagne region
Luxury travel company Belmond is to launch a luxury barge that will take travellers on week-long cruises along the River Marne in the Champagne region of France.
Coquelicot, A Belmond Boat, Champagne has been designed by French duo Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet and sees the company partnering with France’s oldest Champagne house, Maison Ruinart, to offer guests a private tour of its vineyard in Taissy.
The vessel will accommodate six guests with three en suite double cabins, and it also features a spacious indoor lounge and a Champagne bar. The main deck boasts two al fresco lounges, an open kitchen and a shaded dining area.
The vessel joins the fleet of six Belmond boats in France and will only be available for private charter.
