Black Friday offers round-up
A number of cruise lines are offering big savings and other incentives for Black Friday – here’s our A-Z round-up
Amadeus River Cruises
Traditional river cruise line Amadeus are offering savings of up to £360 per person on selected European river cruises booked between November 24 and 30, 2022.
The cruises are Christmas on the Rhine departing from Cologne on December 22, 2022; Tulip Serenade round-trip from Amsterdam on March 31, 2023; Classical Rhine departing from Basel on April 3, 2023; and Classical Danube departing from Passau on April 13, 2023.
Ambassador Cruise Line
Ex-UK no-fly specialists Ambassador Cruise Line are offering a free upgrade to their Explorer Drinks Package on all sailings departing between April 2023 and March 2024, which includes house wines, beers, house spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, gratuities and service charges, plus 50 per cent off premium beverages.
Also, Kids can go for £99 on two multi-generational cruises in August 2023 – the Summertime Fjordland and British Isles and Ireland Discovery – with a free upgrade to the Adventurers Drinks Package.
There are also free gratuities for anyone booking the Grand Round World Voyage – a 120-night cruise departing from London Tilbury on January 6, 2024.
The offers are available on bookings made between November 22 and 30, 2022.
APT and Travelmarvel
River cruise and yacht tour companies APT and Travelmarvel are offering discounts of up to £200 on new 2023 bookings made by Monday, November 28.
Cruises spanning 10 days or more will be discounted by £200, while there are savings of £100 on itineraries lasting less than nine days.
Travel agents will automatically receive a £50 Love2shop voucher for every new 2023 APT and Travelmarvel booking made between November 21 and November 28.
Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity Cruises has announced a saving of 75 per cent on the second guest and up to $800 onboard spending on cruises booked between November 15 and December 5, 2022. The offer is available on selected sailings from now until April 2025.
Travel agents will earn £50 on every 2023 booking and £20 on every 2024 booking made during the offer period, including on Celebrity Apex from Southampton via Celebrity Rewards.
The line is offering a number of new training and marketing tools via their Celebrity Central agent portal to help out.
Celestyal Cruises
Greek Islands specialist Celestyal Cruises is offering savings of up to £771 per person on more than 90 sailings, with kids cruising for free.
The offer runs from November 14 until December 6, 2022 and includes the line’s three, four and seven-night Idyllic Aegean itineraries that sail round-trip from Athens.
Up to two children aged 11 and under sharing a cabin with two adults can travel for free. Port charges and taxes are additional.
As part of their offer, the line is also offering travel agents the chance to win £150 towards a Christmas night out at one of The Real Greek’s 25 restaurants.
To be in with a chance of winning, travel agents simply need to make a booking and email the booking reference to tradesupport@celestyal.com by December 7. Three winning agencies will be chosen at random.
Emerald Cruises
Luxury operator Emerald Cruises is offering 2023 savings on Europe river cruises and up to 30 per cent off 2023/24 luxury yacht cruises, plus a free Premium Drinks Package.
On the eight-day Danube Delights itinerary guests can sail for £1,795 per person – down from £2,645 per person – based on an October 30, 2023 departure.
On the line’s luxury ocean yachts the 10-day Grenadines and Grenada Adventure cruise is now priced at £4,805 per person, down from £5,145 per person, based on a November 24, 2023 departure.
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines
The ex-UK cruise line is offering savings of up to £300 per person on a selection of 2022 and 2023 sailings when booked between November 21 and 28, 2022, with additional savings of up to £600 per person for guests booking suites and solo cabins.
Highlights include the White Christmas in Norway itinerary on Bolette, depating from Southampton on December 21, 2022; Borealis Searches for the Northern Lights, departing from Liverpool on January 5, 2023; and the five-night Easter on the River Seine on Balmoral, departing from Southampton on April 6, 2023. Other departures are available from Newcastle, Portsmouth and Rosyth.
“We have included 17 sailings this Black Friday, departing from December to June, each hand-crafted to show our guests the very best of the destination at the time they visit,” said Jackie Martin, marketing and sales director at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
“Whether that’s to enjoy a white Christmas in Norway, seek out some winter sunshine or explore some of the wonderful cities of the Baltic as the warmer temperatures creep in again.
“Of course, aboard each of our sailings for 2023, guests will find our new Signature Experiences that celebrate everything that we love about cruise, from capturing spectacular scenery as you sail between destinations, to sunrise, sunset and stargazing events on deck and witnessing native wildlife.”
Holland America Line
Holland America Line has a number of sale offers, with cruises starting from £1,019 per person for a seven-night Mediterranean Rivieras sailing in April 2023 on Nieuw Statendam from Barcelona to Rome via as Monte Carlo, Florence/Pisa, Sardinia, Sicily, Palermo and Naples (Pompeii).
The line is also offering a wide range of cruises with the Have It All package and free crew appreciation. This includes Speciality Dining, the Signature Beverage Package and wi-fi.
MSC Cruises
MSC Cruises are offering up to 45 per cent discount on selected sailings. For example, guests can enjoy a nine-night cruise to Lisbon departing from Southampton on January 6, 2023 for £459, down from £809.
The offer is applicable from November 21 to 28, 2022.
P&O Cruises
P&O Cruises is offering discounts of up to 30 per cent on selected holidays when guests make a new Early Saver booking by November 29, 2022.
Available on inside cabins for selected departures between March 3, 2023 and November 23, 2023, the holidays include itineraries ranging from seven to 14 nights to Northern Europe, the Canary Islands, Italy, Spain and Portugal, as well as the Norwegian fjords.
Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises is offering £50 deposits until November 28 on selected ex-UK sailings next year.
The offer includes the line’s two new themed cruises – a comedy-themed sailing to Scandinavia with Ed Byrne, Julian Clary, Paul Merton and Suzi Webster and the Culinary Stars cruise to France and Spain with Jean-Christophe Novelli, Si King and Ainsley Harriott.
They both sail round-trip from Southampton on Sky Princess on July 1 and September 16, 2023 respectively.
Royal Caribbean International
Royal Caribbean International has introduced a Double Rewards incentive on all bookings made for 2023 sailings until November 30.
UK and Ireland agents who claim a booking via the Club Royal platform or Club Royal Plus app will see their Rewards doubled – earning up to £30 for a suite booking.
The line is also allowing children to sail for £99 on all European and Alaskan summer cruises in 2023 and 2024.
Scenic
Ultra-luxury line Scenic has announced savings of up to £2,450 per person – with free private door-to-door transfers – as part of their flash sale which runs until December 1, 2022.
Ocean cruise guests can save an additional £200 per person across all 2023 voyages, on top of the complimentary business class flight, plus the Earlybird offer of 10 per cent or the Super Earlybird 20 per cent.
River cruise guests can benefit from savings of up to £1,700 per person on European or Mekong river cruises. For example, the 15-day Romantic Rhine and Moselle sailing from Amsterdam to Basel is now £4,095 per person, based on a July 3, 2023 departure.
Seabourn
Ultra-luxury line Seabourn is offering 15 per cent off cruises until summer 2024, with an average saving of £2,500 per suite. The offer runs until December 5, 2022.
The offer applies to nearly 500 itineraries, including expedition voyages to the Arctic on the new Seabourn Venture, trips around the Caribbean and sailings in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.
“A Seabourn voyage offers unforgettable, life-expanding adventures, and makes the best gift to give this holiday season,” said Josh Leibowitz, president of Seabourn.
“The Black Friday Sail offers incredible value compared to land-based vacations. A Seabourn ocean or expedition voyage is a great way to share the ultimate gift of luxury and gift of thanks for you or a loved one.”
The Black Friday Sail can be combined with various promotions already available to Seabourn guests, including Seabourn Club Savings offering up to 10 per cent savings on select sailings.
Swan Hellenic
Cultural expedition specialists Swan Hellenic is offering savings of $2,000 on Oceanview Staterooms and $3,000 on Balony Staterooms on 21 itineraries worldwide.
The cruises range from eight to 32 days and take in everywhere from Antarctica to Australia, Polynesia, East Asia, West Africa and Norway.
The line is also offering bonus commission to agents, paying $250 per guest up to $500 per stateroom for each booking completed and paid in full within seven days.
Virgin Voyages
Virgin Voyages is offering cruises for as little as $99 per person, per night this December on Insider and Sea Terrace cabin categories.
Cruises will be on the line’s first two vessels – Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady – and must be booked before November 28, 2022.
The line is also offering 50 per cent off for a second guest, no single supplement and $100 Bar Tab Bonus (when purchasing a $300 Bar Tab) on all cruises up to April 2023. This offer runs until December 6, 2022.
