Carnival to host first Seminar at Sea in Europe
Agents will have time to explore the ship and attend training
Carnival Cruise Line will host its inaugural Seminar at Sea in Europe on Carnival Pride in May, when the ship departs on an 11-day sailing from Barcelona.
The line is offering 100 balcony staterooms to agents, who can sail with guests. They will have free time to enjoy the ship, receive training sessions and attend networking receptions and educational presentations.
The ship will depart from Barcelona on May 8, visiting Portimao, Lisbon, Leixões (Porto), Vigo, La Coruña, Gibraltar and Málaga, before returning to Barcelona.
Luke Smith, Carnival’s head of international sales, said: “The best way to sell Carnival is to see Carnival, which is why we are committed to getting more travel agents on board our ships this year, starting with this one-of-a-kind and specially priced seminar at sea.
“The last two years have been challenging and our travel agent partners have stuck by us through it all, so now that Carnival Pride is sailing European waters in 2022 and 2023, we want to thank them by offering the opportunity to experience a Carnival vacation with their friends and family.”
Registration is open to travel agents until March 20. To register interest in the seminar, email internationalsales@carnival.com with the VIFP numbers for all guests. If agents do not have a VIFP number, they can generate one on https://www.carnival.com/profilemanagement/accounts/register.
A spokesperson added: “Travel agents will then get a confirmation to note if their registration was successful and will be instructed to visit GoCCL.co.uk to book the cruise using their VIFP numbers. Travel agents should not call Carnival’s call centre or trade department.”
Last year Carnival announced it would paint all its ships red, white and blue, to mark the line’s 50th anniversary in 2022.
