Celebrity Cruises and Red magazine to host one-day event at sea
Celebrity Cruises has paired up with Red magazine to host the one-day ‘Red Smart Women at Sea’ event
The event, held on October 29, will focus on wellbeing, wisdom and luxury, onboard Celebrity Silhouette at Southampton, working as an incarnation of Red’s previous sell-out Smart Women event.
Guests can opt to attend the one-day event on its own or as a precursor to the Taste of Luxury three-night cruise, sailing from Southampton to Portland and Dover.
The ship has recently undergone a large renovation and the Red Smart Women at Sea will include a line-up of workshops, talks and interviews, as well as exclusive access to the ship’s spa.
The event comes in line with the company’s bid for more diversity and inclusion, with the number of women working onboard rising from 3% to 28% in the last five years.
Jo Rzymowska, vice president and managing director, EMEA of Celebrity Cruises said: “Red’s Smart Women series is rooted in female empowerment and wellness and, as champions of both, we’re delighted to bring readers onboard to discover their potential. Set against the incredible backdrop of newly revitalised Celebrity Silhouette, we’re looking forward to a wonderful day of wisdom, wellbeing and luxury.”
Sharon Douglas, chief brand officer at Hearst UK said: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Celebrity Cruises as host to the next event in our popular Red Smart Women series. Providing such formidable surroundings, whilst offering our visitors unrivalled luxury will create the perfect atmosphere for an event designed to inspire women to realise their true value and limitless potential.”
The event includes sessions run by experts, including a breathwork session with Rebecca Dennis, yoga in the Sky Observatory with Naomi Annand, a workshop by coach Brita Fernandez Schmidt and tips from Red’s beauty director, Eve Cameron.
Tickets to the one-day event are available at Eventbrite for £50, while a place on the three-day cruise costs £499 per person.
