CMV announces Astoria’s farewell season

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has announced that Astoria’s cruises from Tilbury next spring will form its farewell season.

The 600-passenger ship, which was previously known as Azores, will then operate under charter to Rivages du Monde in France.

The line also announced that it has extended its buy one, get one free deal, until the end of July.

It said it has already booked over 30,000 passengers for cruises in 2017.

There is a range of benefits including up to £1,000 per cabin onboard credit, half-price or free car parking at Tilbury and complimentary cabin upgrades. Places must be booked by  August 31, 2016.

The CMV 2017 brochure features cruises from 11 UK ports. It also introduces Columbus to the fleet to join Magellan, Marco Polo, Astoria and Astor.

Lisa Jacobs, head of trade sales at CMV, said: “This exciting new promotion combining our popular BOGOF deals with a comprehensive range of added value benefits presents agents with an amazing sales proposition. This comes at a time when we believe customers are looking to book and have something to look forward to. We anticipate that demand will be very high for these offers.”
