CroisiEurope confirms start dates for river cruises

French line to begin cruises in France followed by rest of Europe

French river cruise line CroisiEurope has confirmed the start dates for its Seine, Rhone and Danube cruises.

The Strasbourg based firm confirmed that its French cruises would begin on the following:

  • Seine cruises from July 13
  • Rhône and Burgundy canal cruises on July 16
  • Rhine cruises on July 20
  • Corsica cruises on July 26
  • Loire on July 31
  • Gironde on August 26

In Europe, the line gave the following dates:

  • Danube on August 7
  • Elbe on August 3
  • Douro on August 7
  • Croatia on August 13

Other European destinations will be available progressively throughout the season.

New safety protocols can be viewed here:

The measures include certification from the Bureau Veritas for its ‘safeguard’ certification’. In a statement, CroisiEurope said: “The Safeguard Certification Label ensures the proper application of preventive, sanitary measures—which have been subject to a rigorous auditing process—and confirms that our crew members have been thoroughly trained to implement them.”

Measures include disinfection of luggage, taking the temperature of passengers before boarding, the availability of masks on board and social distancing. There will also be two meal times with table service rather than buffets as well as specific measures taken when guests go on shore excursions.

Last year, CroisiEurope acquired Silversea’s Silver Discoverer, the former expedition ship. The ship is to be renamed Les Belle Des Oceans.
