Crystal introduces Crystal Clean+ Covid-19 protocols
Luxury line will test passengers twice before allowing them onboard
Ultra-luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises has introduced Crystal Clean+ a set of protocols that includes guests having to take two Covid-19 tests for guests.
The new Crystal Clean + 3.0 protocols feature updates to the company’s 2.0 guidelines, including pre-boarding and embarkation procedures, social distancing requirements, shore excursion policy, crew member standards and practices.
As per Crystal Clean + 3.0, guests will now be required to complete a Covid-19 test prior to departure for their cruise and provide a printed copy of their negative result at check-in. Failure to comply will result in denial of boarding. In addition, guests will take a second Covid-19 test upon arrival at the pier and must test negative prior to boarding.
On board, guests will have to maintain social distancing of at least six feet to those not in their party. As a result babysitting, kids’ clubs and dancing with Crystal Ambassadors have been suspended.
Guests will only be able to disembark the vessel if they are on an official Crystal shoreside excursion or activity. Shuttle buses to town will not be provided. Those who do not comply will not be allowed back on board.
The move puts Crystal in line with all other CLIA brands, as reported in Cruise Adviser.
