Explora Journeys launches online travel agent centre

Platform will include booking tool, marketing materials and knowledge suite

Explora Journeys has launched an online centre for travel agents with a booking tool, marketing materials and a knowledge suite.

MSC’s new luxury brand will see its first ship Explora I making its maiden voyage in May 2023.

The cruise brand’s travel advisor centre features an online booking tool which allows agents to search and book itineraries, select suites, access fares and generate quotations.

Agents can also use the platform to track their bookings and commission will be paid via “the industry’s first rolling commission payment programme”.

Michael Ungerer, chief executive officer, said: “Our new travel advisor centre is another important step forward in our vision and purpose, based on the extensive research we completed to create an ocean experience like no other. We have created what I believe is a seamless, best-in-class digital experience for travel advisors to underscore our mantra of just how easy it is to do business with Explora Journeys.”

US agents have voiced their support for the new brand.

The creation of the centre follows the brand’s By Appointment service, which launched in September and enables agents to set up an appointment with an Explora Journeys ambassador to make a booking on one of Explora I’s eight inaugural sailings.
