Carnival Cruise Line announces Fun Ambassadors

Carnival Cruise Line has named its eight travel agent Fun Ambassadors as part of a drive to boost engagement with its trade programme.

The eight ambassadors have been named following a nationwide appeal for UK-based ambassadors to help increase engagement with Loyalty Rocks Club, Carnival Cruise Line’s trade programme.

They are Craig Campbell, Travel2; Kerry Cansdale, Travel Counsellors; Andrew Cawley, Virgin Holidays; Leighanne Dunkin, Iglu; Aaron Fletcher, Travel Solutions; Lauren Glenn, US Airtours; Toni Hill, Cruise1st; and Claire Titcombe, Thomas Cook.

The application process involved agents sharing the reasons why they have fun being a travel agent and suggesting changes they would make to Loyalty Rocks Club. Every agent who entered is to be awarded five Loyalty Rocks Club points.

Iain Baillie, Carnival Cruise Line’s UK managing director, said: “We have been overwhelmed by travel professionals applying to become a Carnival Fun Ambassador. With only eight spaces, it was really hard to narrow it down as all the applicants were truly first class.”

The new Fun Ambassadors will meet with the cruise line for the first time later this month. All eight will enjoy year-round benefits, including all-expenses-paid trips to Ibiza and Miami.

Those agents who were not successful will be able to apply again next year. “We can’t wait to meet the first appointed candidates and welcome them to the 2019 board of Fun Ambassadors,” Baillie added.
