G Adventures reveals sixth Galapagos ship

G Adventures has revealed details of a sixth yacht, which will join its Galapagos fleet in July 2020.

The Reina Silvia Voyager catamaran will be capable of holding up to 16 passengers, offering 40 different itineraries to the 20 different islands of the Galapagos Islands.

“There is nothing in the world like making eye contact with a curious sea lion, gentle sea turtle, tiny seahorse or prehistoric iguana in a place where Darwin himself studied evolution. We want our guests to have all of these adventurous experiences and still enjoy a dose of maritime luxury,” said Yves Marceau, G Adventures’ global vice president of product. “The Reina Silvia Voyager is being purpose-built to enable nimble, immersive moments in and under the water, before welcoming guests back on board in ultimate comfort.”

G Adventures has seen a 19 per cent rise in cruises since January 2016.

The 103 ft vessel – which has two cabins dedicated to solo travellers – includes nine on-board kayaks and two zodiacs.

All 2020 voyages will start and finish in Quito, offering sailing through either the eastern or western Galapagos. Some of the itineraries include:

• 10-day Galápagos from Quito – Central & Eastern Islands aboard the Reina Silvia Voyager – starts from £4,749 per person, excluding international flights
• 10-day Galápagos from Quito – Western & Central Islands aboard the Reina Silvia Voyager – starts from £4,749 per person, excluding international flights
