Industry prepares for Clia’s Plan a Cruise Month

This year’s Clia UK & Ireland (Clia) Plan a Cruise Month is due to commence on October 1, with dozens of lines participating in this year’s programme, publishing offers and discounts out to boost cruise sales.

The campaign has been created to push an industry-wide sales push, rather than lines trying to make as much noise as possible on their own. It has grown from a week-long event to one that lasts for a month.

Clia has announced that each week will be dedicated to a different sector of the industry. The month will run as follows:

1 – 9 October – Family Friendly Cruise Week
10-16 October – Discovery Cruise Week
17-23 October – River Cruise Week
24-31 October – Luxury Cruise Week

Tomorrow, Cruise Adviser will be releasing details of a range of deals being offered by cruise lines across the industry.

There will also be a social media push, with Clia asking people to tweet their favourite cruise destination between 2pm and 4pm on Monday, October 3, using the #CruiseMonth hashtag.
