Inspiretec adds cruise features

The new additions enable agents and tour operators using the system to experience an enhanced selling journey.

Travel technology company Inspiretec has updated its travel platforms with specific enhancements designed for agents and tour operators who sell cruise.

New features include the option to search, cost and compare different cruise products alongside a partnership with Widgety to provide itinerary and ship details. In addition, Inspiretec has developed cruise specific functionality for its CRM solution, designed exclusively for the travel industry.

The new features enable agents and tour operators using the system to experience an enhanced selling journey, pulling the elements needed to make a cruise booking together into one place.

This means users are able to search for suitable cruises, cost them up and give comparisons all from one central source, thus improving the overall customer experience.

The partnership with Widgety allows Inspiretec to inject a detailed and accurate library of cruise content into its platformUsers now have access to the most up-to-date cruise information with over 30,000 itineraries from 50 cruise lines across 650 ships.

Clients can also use its reservations system to dynamically package additional components, such as flights, pre- and-post stay accommodation and transfers.

Gareth Arnold, cruise relationship manager at Inspiretec comments: “Agents and operators are always looking at new ways to differentiate their cruise holiday offering. With our new enhancements it is now possible to manage the different components of a cruise booking all in one place. This will improve the sales process and of course, in turn, make the entire process more efficient.”

Damian Gevertz, founder of Widgety said: “Empowering customer decisions through engaging, accurate and detailed cruise content is more important than ever in the current climate. This partnership should make it easy for agents and tour operators using the platform to package a holiday, choosing the cruise elements they require to create a compelling quote for their customers.”

Additionally, Inspiretec has added cruise functionality to its dedicated travel CRM system enabling cruise specific information to be gathered, analysed and used effectively. Customer’s cruise product preferences such as river or region, cabin type, dining preferences, marketing insights, website interactions and contact centre, retail shop or homeworker touch points plus previous quotes and bookings are all brought together into one central location.

Arnold adds: “As the cruise industry recovers, utilising customer data to gain insight into cruising preferences and driving personalisation will be key. Our CRM system can be plugged into reservations systems and has been specifically designed to meet the needs of travel companies.”

Inspiretec is rolling out the enhancements to existing customers in the spring and targeting general release later in the year.
