MSC relaxes Covid testing rules
The line follows the Royal Caribbean Group and Carnival with new regulations for shorter sailings from US ports
MSC Cruises is relaxing Covid testing rules for passengers sailing from ports in the US from August 8.
The line is following Carnival Cruises and the Royal Caribbean Group in changing their embarkation rules following new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The changes mean that fully vaccinated passengers sailing five nights or less are recommended to have tested negative within three days of embarkation, but it is no longer a stipulation for boarding.
Unvaccinated children aged two years and older will have to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within three days of embarkation and fully vaccinated passengers sailing six nights or more must show proof of a negative Covid-19 test undertaken within three days of embarkation.
The line currently has two ships based in Florida, with MSC Seashore sailing from Miami and MSC Divina from Port Canaveral.
