New appointments at Silversea Cruises
Roberto Verdino has joined as senior VP of revenue management, and the line has also expanded its UK-based sales team
Silversea has appointed Roberto Verdino as senior vice president of revenue management.
He will oversee the line’s revenue operations, forecasting and commercial planning and will report to chief commercial officer Barbara Muckermann at Silversea’s Monaco office. .
Verdino joins after 15 years at Royal Caribbean International and Costa Cruises and he also has previous experience in the hospitality industry.
Muckermann said: “Roberto’s expertise, paired with his wealth of experience in the cruise and hospitality sectors, will contribute to our continued international success as part of Royal Caribbean Group.”
Verdino said: “I am thrilled to join Silversea Cruises during this exciting period of growth. I look forward to working with my team to strengthen the cruise line’s commercial presence worldwide.”
Silversea is also expanding its UK-based sales team with two new business development managers (BDMs).
Business development executive Lucy Howe has been promoted to BDM after returning from maternity leave and a second new BDM will join next month, according to the line’s UK and Ireland managing director Peter Shanks.
