Scenic Cruises has unveiled a new timelapse video chronicling the build of its newest Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II.
The ship is on course to enter service in April 2023 with its inaugural sailing from Lisbon, and will spend its first season sailing in the Mediterranean, Scotland, the Americas, the Caribbean and both Polar regions. In 2024 the ship will also visit Australia, Polynesia and Indonesia.

The vessel is nearly identical to its sister yacht Scenic Eclipse, however some changes have been made to the original Scenic Eclipse design based on feedback from guests and crew. These include enhancements to the Senses Spa and a larger pool and outdoor area on Deck 10.
Scenic Eclipse II is due to float out at its shipyard in Rijeka, Croatia later this month. It is being built by MKM Yachts, which is owned by parent company Scenic Group.
Andrea Stafford, director of trade sales UK for the Scenic Group, said: “The addition of Scenic Eclipse II to the fleet continues our mission to bring once-in-a-lifetime exploration to guests. Our Discovery Yachts are unique in that they can handle extreme and diverse conditions, meaning they can go from the icy waters of the Arctic and Antarctic to the warmth of the Caribbean, and explore ports and coves that larger vessels just cannot access.”
The Scenic Group is also giving away an eight-day Arabian Peninsula cruise with sister line Emerald Cruises, on its new luxury superyacht cruise Emerald Azzurra, for one agent and their guest.
