Oceania breaks booking record
Launch of new ship Vista breaks single-day booking record within hours of going on sale
Oceania Cruises broke its single-day booking record for voyages on its new ship Vista.
The luxury cruise line opened bookings on September 15 at 9am for 18 sailings on board Vista from April 2023 to November 2023. By 10.30am, sales had surpassed the company’s most recent record set in March 2021.
The last record was for a full season of sailings across six ships, but this record was driven by the introduction of one new ship with itineraries for just one half of a year.
“The tremendous wave of bookings we saw on the day we opened sales for Vista underscores the extraordinary demand for our acclaimed small ship, destination-focused vacations,” stated Bob Binder, president and CEO of Oceania Cruises.
Luxury accommodation on board Vista ranges from the 270 sq ft solo staterooms to the 2,400 sq ft Owner’s Suites. Almost all top-tier Owner’s, Oceania and Vista suites are now sold out for the inaugural season.
With itineraries ranging from 10- to 14-days, the most popular destinations included the British Isles and Canada, the Mediterranean, the Holy Lands, and the Panama Canal.
“We are seeing exceptional demand from both our loyal Oceania Club repeaters and new-to-brand guests who are attracted to Vista’s new restaurants and culinary concepts, residentially styled staterooms and suites, and unique itineraries that present the destinations from a new perspective,” added Binder.
