Oceania Cruises takes delivery of new ship Vista
Ship will be christened in Malta in May
Oceania Cruises has taken delivery of its newest ship, Vista, with the ship delivered to the company at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa.
The new ship features several firsts for the brand, including new dining experiences and accommodation.
Capable of holding 1,200 guests, Vista has the largest standard stateroom at sea, three new dining concepts and a staff to guest ratio of 2:3.
“Today we usher in a new era for Oceania Cruises with the delivery of Vista,” said Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. “We could not have built such an exceptional ship without the close partnership enjoyed with Fincantieri. We thank each and every person who had a hand in bringing her to life. From the smallest of design details to the largest per capita galley at sea, Vista is a marvel that will be enjoyed by guests for decades to come.”
The ship will be christened on May 8 in Malta. It can be watched live from 8pm BST at www.VistaCelebration.com. Those who wish to watch will need to register.
Vista will have a debut season in the Mediterranean before sailing over to Canada and New England. From there, the ship will sail south to the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.
