P&O illusion show to open across fleet
P&O Cruises is to open its magic and illusion show, Astonishing, across three more ships this year.
Produced by performer Jonathan Wilkes and BAFTA-winning presenter and entertainer Stephen Mulhern, the show originally premiered on Britannia, Azura and Ventura in summer 2018. It will premiere on Oceana on April 16, Aurora on May 12 and Arcadia on July 19.
P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “Feedback from guests who have seen the show has been, quite literally, astonishing, with many saying that it’s the most extraordinary and entertaining show that they have ever seen.
“This game-changing show from Jonny and Stephen takes entertainment to an entirely new level and I’m delighted that even more of our guests will have the opportunity to experience this dazzling display of magic, dance, illusion and mystery.”
Astonishing combines the magic of Stephen Mulhern and the contemporary production talent of Jonathan Wilkes with the spectacular dance moves of leading choreographer Paul Domaine and the mind-blowing trickery of master illusionist Guy Barrett. The show uses the latest technology in the theatres and features dazzling dance and seemingly impossible feats.
