The line’s newest ship will offer a range of shore experiences in the Caribbean which are not available on any other ship in the fleet

P&O Cruises’ newest ship Arvia will offer a range of brand-new shore experiences in the Caribbean which are not available on any other ship in the fleet.

The experiences include the chance to explore St Lucia on eco-friendly iRide electric scooters; a day at the five-star Be Live Collection Canon resort in Bayahibe, Dominican Republic; the chance to create your own batik in St Kitts; Caribbean cuisine and rhum tasting in St Maarten; and a visit to a distillery in Barbados.

Guests will also be able to enjoy a variety of existing shore experiences, including kayaking or snorkeling, or taking the opportunity to relax on a lounger at local beaches.

The 5,200-passenger Arvia will be launched in Southampton on December 23 and sets sail for its maiden season of seven and 14-night fly/cruises from the UK to the Caribbean on January 6, 2023.

During the season, Arvia will visit Antigua (Antigua and Barbuda), Bridgetown (Barbados, including an overnight stay), Curaçao (Curaçao), La Romana (Dominican Republic), Fort de France (Martinique), Basseterre (St Kitts), Castries (St Lucia) and St Maarten (Saint Maarten).

The new ship will be christened in an official ceremony in Barbados on March 16, 2023 which will be broadcast live online.
