P&O Cruises reveals wave plans

Carnival Corporation’s P&O Cruises has unveiled plans for its wave campaign, where it will give five travel agents the chance to win £12,000 of prizes.

A luxury holiday, rent or mortgage paid for a year and a Mini are all up for grabs as well as smaller prizes across its social media channels.

This year’s wave campaign, which the company predicted would be its biggest, includes promotions such as extra on board spending on every outside cabin or above. They will be promoted as part of the campaign which includes new TV ads featuring Rob Brydon airing on Christmas Day.

Paul Ludlow, P&O Cruises senior vice president, said: “This year’s wave is set to be the biggest wave yet and we have some really strong reasons as to why it will be again.

“Our business is on a real tide of momentum,”  he told Travel Weekly. “P&O cruises has had a really fantastic 2016 and for 2017 we are better sold year over year.

“Travel agents are hugely important to us and we are very grateful for the continued support they give us.”

Alex White, vice president of sales, P&O Cruises & Cunard, added: “We have built on our huge amount of choice for our customers during wave to create this incentive for our agents, there is the chance to win three incredible prizes.

“We have held a number of incentives this year and what we have found is that different agents want different things so we have given them the maximum choice possible.

“We focused on the three most expensive things in your life, your house, your car and your holiday.”

Bookings must be made between December 23 and February 28 to qualify.
