Princess Cruises appoints Rachel Poultney as head of sales
Rachel Poultney has been promoted to head of sales for Princess Cruises UK.
She was previously sales manager (major accounts) at the line for three years, and will lead a 15-strong sales team split across office and field.
Poultney, 29, formerly worked in sales and marketing roles for AviaCircle and Insight Vacations.
Tony Roberts, vice president, Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “Rachel has excelled since joining Princess Cruises so I am delighted to appoint her to this pivotal position.
“She has managed her accounts exceptionally well, and added an extra dimension of leadership, drive and innovation to the team, so is perfectly placed to take Princess forward.”
Rachel Poultney said: “I am pleased and privileged to be appointed as the new head of sales at such an exciting time. I will develop and enhance relationships with our agent partners and deliver market leading tools so we continue to be even easier to do business with.
“We’re in a fantastic position coming into peak trading and with Emerald Princess, our homeport ship for 2016, shortly undergoing an extensive refurbishment, I’m confident and looking forward to the future.”
Poultney replaces Alex White, who joined sister titles P&O Cruises and Cunard as Carnival UK vice president of sales in October.
