Princess Cruises launches new agent training portal

Princess Cruises has launched a new travel agent portal at the Clia UK & Ireland 2015 Selling Cruise Conference in Southampton.

Speaking on board Royal Princess, Alex White, Princess Cruises head of sales, said that following on from the company’s market research they had realised the need to simplify their engagement with the trade.

The new training platform, onesourcecruises.com, is the result of that research and offers access to marketing materials, the latest news on Princess Cruises, a link through to the company’s booking platform as well as Princess Academy, its training site.

Travel agents can access the information using their login details from Complete Cruise Solution.

White also added that while 90 per cent of travel agents knowledge of the brand was either good or excellent, 25 per cent of agents had never used their online training.

He also promised that complications arising from booking flights would be rectified within three months. Booking groups would also become simpler and now be referred to as Select Cruises to stop confusion.

The Princess Academy has also been improved, he said, with existing modules enhanced and new modules added to outlay new brand developments.

White spoke at the Clia UK & Ireland conference along with Richard Twynam, managing director of Azamara Club Cruises, and Dondra Ritzenthaler, senior vice president, sales and trade support & services for Celebrity Cruises.
