Riviera Travel adds new sailings to UK programme
Riviera Travel launches new voyages to its Scotland programme to meet demand
Riviera Travel has added two voyages to its summer British Isles ship programme after selling out four July departures earlier this week.
Departing August 2 and 9, the eight-day Cruising Scotland’s Highlands & Islands cruise ship itinerary departs from either Edinburgh or Greenock.
The voyages call at Aberdeen, Inverness, Orkney, Oban, the Outer Hebrides and Belfast, with daily excursions to Loch Ness, Balmoral Castle, the Titanic Visitor Centre, the Callanish Standing Stones, and the Neolithic Ring of Brodgar henge and stone circle.
The sailings will see Riviera Travel debuting the newly refurbished MS Seaventure, a small expedition ship which is able to dock at destinations larger vessels can’t access.
The 158-passenger ship offers 82 sea-view cabins with a choice of balcony, panoramic window or porthole. The ship also features a fitness suite, sauna, heated saltwater pool, expedition theatre and library.
Katja Hildebrandt from Riviera Travel said: “We’re thrilled with the demand we have seen from the trade for our highlands and islands cruise, so are delighted to be able to announce these two additional sailings to everyone still looking to book up. The itinerary will offer a fascinating insight into the culture and heritage that is right on our doorstep. The fact our ship can explore ports inaccessible to larger vessels will only add to the authenticity of the trip.”
No travel limitations apply as all ports-of-call are in the UK.
Prices start from £1,999 per person full-board, based on two people sharing a cabin, including tours and port taxes. A small number of cabins are available for sole occupancy without a supplement.
