Riviera Travel unveils new Greek Islands cruise and stay departures

New sailing marks beginning of partnership with Celestyal Cruises

Riviera Travel has partnered with Celestyal Cruises to launch a 10-night Athens & Greek Islands cruise and stay itinerary.

The holiday includes a seven-night sailing, complemented by a one-night pre-cruise stay in Athens and a post-cruise beach stay.

The package is available to book from August 23, 2023, with five departures on offer between April and September 2024. The cruise is on the newly-refurbished 1260-guest Celestyal Journey, which launches in September this year, and will feature guided tours of Kusadasi, Crete, Santorini and Mykonos, and visits to Thessaloniki and Milos.

Katja Hildebrandt, Head of Product River & Ocean Cruise at Riviera Travel, said: “This new itinerary offers the ideal combination of culture, excursions, independent visits and relaxation. Guests can enjoy a host of eye-catching attractions, from the remarkable history of the Acropolis, to the striking amphitheatre of the Library of Celsus, to the birthplace of civilisation at the Minoan Palace of Knossos. And all this while taking in the local coastline via the magnificent Celestyal Journey.”

Janet Parton, VP – Sales (UK, Europe, & Australia) at Celestyal, said: “We are delighted to be working with Riviera Travel in the UK. We are committed to opening up our distribution channels to include key travel partners such as Riviera, allowing them to design packages that address the needs of every travel group.”

Prices start from £2,199pp and include accommodation, flights and transfers; full board on the cruise; breakfast at the hotels; all tours and visits; and an expert Riviera Travel tour manager throughout.
