A-Rosa River Cruises and Shearings Holidays announce partnership

Shearings Holidays has announced it is to sell A-Rosa River Cruises in 2018, packaged into commissionable, all-inclusive tours.

Shearings Holidays will take a full ship charter, as well as sell 19 departures on 12 itineraries on six rivers.

River cruises will be packaged with either coach travel, rail options including Eurostar and local rail, where appropriate, or flights from a range of UK airports.

Dedicated Home Connect service is offered to all A-Rosa cruise customers, where available.

Jane Atkins, managing director at Shearings Holidays said: “Partnering with A-Rosa means we can now offer the next level of ship class, in a move to capture a wide audience.

“Historically our river cruise product has featured entry-level ships and the addition of A-Rosa provides us with new product to attract new customers and we are especially excited about the multi-generational opportunities that our partnership offers.”

The companies said that a range of agent-focused marketing activity is planned including educationals, competitions and VIP trips.

Lucia Rowe, head of A-Rosa UK, said: “Having our brand on a coach provides unprecedented exposure for us here in the UK and I have no doubt that this will help drive demand into travel agents.

“We want to ensure that agents have all the product knowledge to confidently sell the product and will be working hard with our marketing efforts over the coming months to deliver this.”

Overall prices for a Shearings Holidays package with A-Rosa costs from £559pp for a six-day Paris & Versailles itinerary that includes four-nights all inclusive cruise on board A-Rosa Viva with free drinks on board, an excursion to the Palace of Versailles and a guided waking tour of Rouen and return travel from the UK by coach. Based on 27 November and 5 December 2018 departures.
