Royal Caribbean cuts steel on second Icon ship
Line holds a ceremony at shipyard in Finland
Royal Caribbean has cut the steel on its second Icon-class ship at a ceremony at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.
The new ship has not been named yet.
Royal Caribbean said the ceremony represents the official start of production and begins a series of “key moments” in design and construction.
The ship is scheduled to enter service in 2025 following the debut of Icon of the Seas in January 2024.
Royal Caribbean has already confirmed that it will launch a third Icon-class ship.
