Royal Caribbean extends Cruise with Confidence policy

Cancellation policy now lasts until April 2022

Royal Caribbean has extended its Cruise with Confidence cancellation policy through to April 2022.

Guests on both new and existing bookings made by August 1, 2020, now have the flexibility to cancel their trip up to 48 hours before departure, all the way through to April 2022.

The new rule applies to Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara.

Travellers are also being given a ‘best price guarantee’ where they can change the price and promotional offer on their sailing up to 48 hours before departure and ‘lift and shift’ where their cruise can easily be moved to a future date if its the same itinerary. The original price and promotional offer on the reservation will be protected.

“Guests are reacting positively to our Cruise with Confidence policy,” says RCL chairman and CEO Richard Fain, “because it enables them to make informed decisions and to better manage complicated travel plans during this unprecedented time of uncertainty.”

“We want our guests to feel they can safely keep their existing cruise bookings or schedule new sailings,” says Fain, “because this policy gives them more freedom and flexibility.”
