Royal Caribbean launches new trade app

The tool will provide training and information alongside agent rewards

Royal Caribbean International has launched a new app for travel agents in the UK and Ireland.

The Club Royal Plus app has been designed to provide agents with all the information they need to sell the line, linking to Royal Caribbean’s existing Club Royal UK and Ireland trade platform.

The app will launch in two phases, initially focused on exclusive news, competitions, flash sales and notifications. Agents will be able to utilise facial recognition to access the tool, where they can claim and spend rewards gained from bookings. They can earn up to £15/€15 for every booking logged through Club Royal Plus and the funds are then transferred to a personalised digital Mastercard, which can be linked to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Phase two will see the launch of short training modules in the new knowledge hub. As agents complete modules they will advance through the membership tiers, increasing their available benefits. These will include additional entries for prize ballots and incentives ranging from ship visits to events.

Stuart Byron, the line’s sales director for the UK, Ireland and Spain, said: “We know how hard our travel agents work, and we want to make their job easier with the launch of Club Royal Plus. The new, innovative app gives agents everything they need to succeed in selling Royal Caribbean cruises both conveniently and efficiently – as well as a smart way to access their rewards.”

In January Royal Caribbean announced its lineup of European voyages for summer 2023 with more ships sailing in the continent than ever before.
