Saga launches ‘Saga Stars’ agent scheme

Saga has revealed details about Saga Stars, a new agent rewards scheme that will see a group of agents win a raft of prizes for their “ongoing support for the brand” .

The over 50s specialist will be giving away prizes including £1,000 towards a holiday in a European hotel and an invite to Saga’s VIP Travel Agent event onboard Spirit of Adventure.

Other prizes include an invite to Saga’s annual Christmas lunch, as well as a dedicated Saga Trade Team member to support marketing, events and visits. Saga Stars will also join a Trade day at Saga’s head office in Folkestone, with a complimentary overnight stay.

One member of the group will be named “the Saga Super Star” and, at the end of 2020, receive £500.

“We are very excited to launch this scheme which will reward a group of loyal travel agents for their ongoing support of our brand,” said Saga’s Head of Trade Sales Iain Powell. “The trade has become vastly important to us in recent years and we know this is an ideal time to further increase the support we offer.

“Becoming a Saga Star will provide you the opportunity to contribute to our growth, provide feedback and ideas, while receiving some amazing rewards for doing so.”

Interested agents can nominate themselves or a colleague, by emailing trade.events@saga.co.uk between December 1 and 20, 2019, sending a short summary outlining why they should be considered. Saga would welcome a supporting video.

Judges will be looking for those agents who have demonstrated promotion and support for Saga through groups such as Travel Gossip and Travel Squawk, acting as ambassadors for Saga within their own business.  In their year as a Saga Star, members will be asked to continue this vital support, as well as acting as an ambassador for Saga within their business, in addition to providing feedback for the Trade Team on areas such as incentives, offers and marketing.

Terms and Conditions: Saga Stars scheme will run from 2nd January to 31st December 2020. Saga Stars will run each year and agents will need to reapply to be a part of the programme. Saga Trade team can withdraw the programme at any time throughout the year to Saga Star’s that don’t up keep to the programme guidelines. Saga Trade team will determine the location of the free holidays and will advise of dates. Guaranteed FAM trip place will be offered, Saga Trade team are not obliged to offer an alternative if the first one is declined, subject to availability.
