Scenic launches self-guide app for guests

Scenic has launched its Scenic Tailormade app, which features an audio guide system that enables guests to explore destinations independently during their cruise. It is the latest generation of Scenic Tailormade, which originally launched in 2013 and comprised a purpose-build handheld device.

Compatible with Apple and Android devices, the app offers guests a choice of more than 240 tour options in over 140 locations. It features more than 1,500 expertly narrated points of local historical and cultural interest.

The Riverview Commentary System is automatically activated at highlights and points of interest along each of Europe’s major waterways. While ashore, guests can use the Independent City Tours function with point-to-point navigation, maps, expert commentary and an offline navigation system to discover Europe’s cities at their leisure.

Guests wanting to travel farther can make use of 50 custom-designed cycling options that can be used with Scenic’s e-bikes.

Guests can download Scenic Tailormade on board using the ship’s wi-fi and is free to use with no additional costs if data is downloaded using the on-board connection. Headphones and existing Scenic Tailormade devices are also available on board and free of charge.

Using the My Cruise function, guests can also access information on the Daily Cruise Program, including the entire Travel Guide Book and full listings of Scenic Freechoice and Scenic Enrich excursions and experience. The app also provides a Travel Wallet for all travel documents and a Badge Scan option.
