Silversea to acquire Crystal Endeavor, reports claim
The luxury cruise line is understood to be purchasing the expedition ship
Silversea Cruises is reportedly set to acquire Crystal Endeavor, the luxury expedition ship from the defunct Crystal Cruises, according to Cruise Industry News.
The title cites “multiple industry sources” who claim Silversea has acquired the 200-guest vessel. It states that Silversea filed to trademark the name Silver Endeavor and Silver Endeavour on June 8 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
When approached by Cruise Adviser, a Silversea spokesperson said: “As a matter of corporate policy, Royal Caribbean Group does not comment on market rumours or speculation.”
Crystal Endeavor was delivered in 2021 and completed a season of cruises in Iceland and some Antarctica itineraries before the line collapsed in early 2022.
Since late March the Polar Class 6-rated vessel has been positioned off the coast of Gibraltar, awaiting sale.
