Star Clippers campaign brings focused trade approach

Star Clippers is shining a light on different destinations with a “structured focus on the trade”.

The luxury tall-ship cruise line, represented in the UK by Fred Olsen Travel, is teaming up with tourist boards, hotel partners, regional airports and airlines to put the focus back into their locations, with a different destination focus each quarter.

The campaign will see three months’ worth of promotions, trade events, offers and fam trip opportunities to showcase the destinations throughout the year.

From April to June, the cruise line will spotlight the island of St Maarten, which has played host to Star Clippers for 30 years.

The project will involve a week-long UK roadshow, with the cruise line’s sales team and members of the tourist board hitting the road to collaborate on training sessions and events.

Evening events for agents will be taking place on Monday April 4 at Hotel Indigo, Birmingham; Wednesday April 6 at Charlotte Street Hotel, London; and Thursday April 7 at Chester Racecourse.
