Star Clippers to relax Covid rules

The tall-ship line will start accepting unvaccinated passengers from early next month as it continues its recovery from the pandemic

Tall-ship line Star Clippers is to relax its Covid rules and will start accepting unvaccinated passengers from early next month.

Fully-vaccinated passengers will no longer need to provide a negative test prior to embarkation, but passengers without a Covid vaccination will still be required to provide a negative antigen test within 48 hours, or a PCR test within 72 hours of embarkation.

The new rules come into effect on Royal Clipper from November 5, Star Clipper from November 19 and Star Flyer from November 26.

“This latest update will come as a huge relief to new guests and existing passengers alike,” said general manager Fay McCormack.

“Star Clippers will continue to adhere to strict health and hygiene policies on board, closely following public health guidelines, as we have always done so.”
