Swan Hellenic has ordered a third newbuild vessel from the Helsinki Shipyard, due to be delivered in late 2022.
The new vessel, currently named Vega 3, will be slightly larger than its two sister-ships, with capacity or 192 guests across 96 cabins. Vega One – which will be christened Minerva after Swan Hellenic’s first, and last, ship – and Vega two can handle 152 guests.
The ships are due to be delivered in November 2021, April 2022 and year-end 2022.
“The new order is significant for Helsinki Shipyard,” said CEO Carl-Gustaf Rotkirch, “as it shows our customers’ confidence in our operations and is a strong signal of the long-term nature of our operations”.
Swan Hellenic CEO Andrea Zito added “We see the increase in demand for experiences that are truly out of the ordinary and are confident in the bounce back of our industry.”
