Changes due to Due to the Canadian Transport Ministry’s Interim Order that extends the closure of Canadian ports and waters to passenger ships.

Princess Cruises has announced three new itineraries are to be added to Regal Princess’ 2021 ex-UK season.

Due to the Canadian Transport Ministry’s Interim Order that extends the closure of Canadian ports and waters to passenger ships, Regal Princess’ 24-night Canadian Adventure cruise, which was due to depart Southampton on September 18, has been replaced with three new voyages.

Regal Princess is due to be homeported in Southampton later this year. On sale from March 2, the new itineraries are:

  • A 12-night Canary Islands cruise, calling at Vigo, Madeira, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Lisbon. Departs September 18, 2021. Prices start from £899pp.
  • A seven night Spain & France cruise, calling at La Rochelle, Bilbao, La Coruna, Guernsey (St. Peter Port). Departs September 30, 2021. Prices start from £499pp.
  •  A five night Belgium & Netherlands Sampler cruise, calling at Zeebrugge (for Brussels/Bruges), Rotterdam, Guernsey (St. Peter Port). Departs October 7, 2021. Prices start from £399pp.

On all cruises guests can choose to upgrade to the all-inclusive added value fare ‘Princess Plus’, which includes premium drinks, unlimited wi-fi and gratuities for an extra £35pp per day.

Tony Roberts, vice president Princess Cruises UK & Europe, said: “We added these new itineraries based on the strong demand from U.K. guests for our 2021 ex-UK season. While we share our guests’ disappointment over the cancelled Canadian Adventure voyage, we’re pleased to be able to offer our guests even more choice of sailings from Southampton for this year.”

A 25-night Canada and New England cruise will sail roundtrip from Southampton in 2022 on Sky Princess. The itinerary includes an overnight stay in New York City and guests will visit other popular ports-of-call such as Boston, Rhode Island and Maine in the U.S., plus Corner Brook, Sydney, Prince Edward Island, Bay of Fundy, Halifax and Newfoundland in Canada. The cruise departs 24 September, 2022.

Yesterday, the company announced it has extended the pause of cruise holidays to select Alaska, Canada and New England and Pacific Coastal sailings in 2021.

The line has cancelled the following voyages for 2021:

  • Alaska seven-day ‘Voyage of the Glaciers’ cruises, sailing between Vancouver, B.C. and Anchorage (Whittier)
  • Pacific Coastal sailings that start or end in Vancouver, BC
  • Canadian Adventure sailing roundtrip from Southampton
