Tony Roberts joins Seabourn
He takes on the role of global vice president commercial operations
Tony Roberts has joined Seabourn as global vice president commercial operations.
Currently vice president, Princess Cruises UK and Europe, Roberts will join Seabourn on March 1, leading revenue management; deployment; revenue forecasting; planning and analytics for the Seabourn brand globally. He will be based in the UK but will report to Seabourn president Josh Leibowitz.
Current Holland America Line and Seabourn UK & Ireland managing director Lynn Narraway will become totally dedicated to Seabourn with an expanded role to include responsibility for Europe. Lynn will report to Tony Roberts as part of the new commercial organisation.
Nico Bleichrodt, Holland America Line’s vice president of international sales, will continue to report to Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America Line, and takes on added responsibility for Holland America Line’s sales in the UK.
Liebowitz said: “I’ve been impressed with Tony’s leadership of Princess in the UK and Europe and I’m excited that he is joining the Seabourn family as we add our expedition ships to the fleet. Tony will bring a wealth of commercial and global sourcing experience to the Seabourn team. The UK is the second largest market for Seabourn and represents an important growth area. We are extremely excited to have Tony and Lynn together in the UK to continue to grow the Seabourn opportunity.”
Roberts said: “This is an exciting opportunity to lead Seabourn’s global commercial team at such a vital time for the brand as we deliver extraordinary guest experiences in ocean and expedition travel.
“Under Lynn’s leadership, the Seabourn UK team continuously achieve outstanding results. I look forward to us building on this foundation as we deliver our future growth plans in the region. Whilst I will continue to be based in the UK, I will travel frequently to the US to work with and lead the commercial teams there.”
Narraway says “I am really looking forward to my expanded role with Seabourn and to taking best practices from the UK to grow Seabourn sales in UK and Europe. I have known and worked with Tony for many years, and I look forward to partnering with him as we continue to grow with our trade partners.”
