Tradewind Voyages launches 2022/23 cruise schedule
Tradewind Voyages' Golden Horizon tall ship will set sail around the Pacific, Americas and on an Antipodean tour
In advance of Golden Horizon’s inaugural sailing from Harwich, on July 1, Tradewind Voyages has announced the ship’s programme for the 2022/23 season.
The 272-passenger tall ship – the world’s largest – will undertake 23 different voyages in four new collections: North Pacific Collection, West Coast Americas Collection, South Pacific Collection and Antipodean Summer Collection.
Starting in Japan in May 2022, the Golden Horizon will head to Alaska via Russia, then to Canada and the USA. Central and South America will follow from August to October 2022, taking in Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Peru and Chile. Then, the ship will travel to the island paradises of French Polynesia, Tonga, New Caledonia and Fiji, among others. The extensive programme will see the ship calling at more than 20 countries for the first time, finishing with an extended exploration of Australia and New Zealand in 2023.
Tradewind Voyages has energy-saving plans built into its programme, aiming to use windpower for 70 per cent of each season and avoiding watersports that use gas to power engines – instead offering snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing and paddleboarding.
For prices starting at £1,099 per person, guests in the ship’s 140 cabins also benefit from five bars, spa facilities and three swimming pools.
