Uniworld launches 43-day river and land voyage
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has launched a 43-day epic journey featuring four countries, three ships and 21 Unesco World Heritage Sites.
The new itinerary was unveiled to agents by Uniworld’s CEO Ellen Bettridge as part of her keynote speech at the CLIA RiverView conference in Budapest today (Sunday March 20).
Taking place in January 2023, the World’s Most Exotic River and Land Journey combines river cruising and luxury touring across Egypt and the Nile, India’s Golden Triangle and the Sacred Ganges and Southeast Asia, taking in Vietnam, Cambodia and the Mekong.
Chris Townsend, UK managing director at Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, said: “At Uniworld, we are continuously striving to innovate and elevate our guest experience even further in fresh and exciting ways.”
“Off the back of the huge popularity of our first Rivers of the World itinerary, which takes place in 2023 and sold out within days of going to market, we are extremely excited to announce our “World’s Most Exotic River and Land Journey”, exclusively for the UK market. It’s the ultimate exotic river and land experience at an unparalleled level of luxury, offering the very best accommodation, cuisine and immersive small-group enrichment available.
“This fabulous 43-day itinerary reflects the clear trend we are seeing of customers booking back-to-back river cruises, wanting to maximise their time away and enjoy it at the highest levels of comfort and service. The bucket-list trip sets off in January 2023, a month commonly felt as the bleakest and coldest for us here in the UK, giving even more reason for our guests to take an extended break to exotic climes.”
The itinerary kicks off in Egypt, combining five nights in Cairo at the world-class Four Seasons Hotel Cairo, and a week-long cruise aboard the Nile’s newest river cruise ship – the Super Ship Sphinx.
Guests will then fly to India where highlights include the Golden Triangle; a seven-day meander down the Ganges River; and a visit to the Taj Mahal at sunset and sunrise.
The journey culminates with thirteen days in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Cambodia and the Mekong River.
This limited-time-only journey will run from 7 January to 18 February, 2023, with international flights departing from London and Manchester. Prices start from £18,885 per person based on two people sharing, but are available with a 10 per cent early-bird discount (until 31 May or until sold old) from £16,995 per person sharing.
