Viking Cruises hires regional sales manager
Viking Cruises has hired Jenny Wade from Blue Water Holidays as its new regional sales manager for the north.
Wade was previously sales & product manager for Blue Water Holidays. She will join Andrew Schweitzer who will cover the south of England. Both will report to Neil Barclay, head of sales for Viking Cruises.
Wade will be responsible for maintaining Viking’s relationship with the travel trade. She will cover from Manchester up to the north of Scotland.
To support the regional sales managers, Viking has also created two field-based executive support roles covering Scotland and the southwest. Gaynor Lee will cover the southwest of England and Barbara Symington, who previously worked for Connoisseur Travel in Edinburgh, will cover Scotland. Lee and Symington will report into their respective regional sales manager.
The move coincides with Viking Cruises’ newly launched trade campaign, which includes Viking’s own trade magazine, Hei. Alongside a dedicated trade website.
Neil Barclay, head of sales at Viking Cruises, said: “Viking Cruises is dedicated to supporting travel agents to help grow and build their businesses. We also have a series of FAM trips planned later this year and early next year to allow agents to experience first-hand the Viking Cruises offering which aims to help them sell, and earn more with Viking Cruises exceptional commission rates.”
