Virgin Voyages bolsters sales team

Virgin Voyages has hired two new sales managers, both of whom will report into Shane Riley, the line’s UK sales director.

Sarah-Jane Walker has joined from Princess Cruises, and will look after the North, while Gemma Smith, who will oversee the South, has moved over from Virgin Holidays.

Smith will join the company from February 8 and Walker from March 21.

Virgin said that it had more than 200 applications for the roles.

Virgin Voyages is offering travel agents the opportunity to have tea with Sir Richard Branson, the Virgin founder, if they register on the line’s agent platform firstmates.com.

Agents must register before February 14 to be in with a chance of winning the prize.
