Richard Branson and Ryan Reynolds take their partnership to the high seas
Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Voyages have teamed up with actor Ryan Reynold’s brand Aviation American Gin to bring the tipple to the high seas.
The duo have previously joined forces to serve up Aviation Gin on Virgin Atlantic flights.
Now the gin will be also be available to passengers on the adults-only cruise line.
Watch Sir Richard Branson and Ryan Reynolds talk about the partnership here:
Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group said: “I can’t seem to escape Ryan. He keeps following me around. Thankfully I really enjoy Aviation Gin so I was excited to bring this product to Virgin Voyages after their partnership with Virgin Atlantic.”
Ryan Reynolds, co-owner of Aviation American Gin said: “My childhood dream was to have a guest role on ‘The Love Boat’ alongside Vic Tayback. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’d be successful enough to have my own gin brand score a recurring role on a ship this deliriously luxurious and child-free. Only Richard Branson could make this type of magic happen.”
Virgin Voyages’ ship Scarlet Lady has 1,330 cabins and 78 RockStar Quarters, with 86 per cent of cabins featuring a balcony.
Each of Scarlet Lady’s restaurants have a bar with drinks “crafted for a specific beverage vision”.
When passengers or “sailors” on Scarlet Lady buy a Bar Tab, they will be able to choose from a selection of Aviation Gin-based cocktails onboard.
