Virgin Voyages pushes back launch events

Virgin Voyages has postponed its launch event in Miami, which was originally planned to take place next week, and delayed its showcase tour and inaugural season.

In a statement, the company said: “Virgin Voyages has made the decision to postpone our upcoming events in Miami to a later date for a proper launch celebration.

“We believe delaying the launch celebration is the right thing to do given public sentiment and focus at this time.”

Scarlet Lady arrived in Miami on March 7.

The showcase tour and inaugural season has been delayed until July 15, with Scarlet Lady’s maiden voyage taking place on August 7, 2020. The company is offering various options for those already booked – from full refunds and voyage credits to “extra special bonuses for those who book future sailings”.
