Windstar waives single supplement

Small ship line Windstar Cruises has announced details of a new solo traveller offer, waiving the single supplement on select 2022 and 2023 sailings.

The offer is valid on sailings to a number of destinations including sailings from Barcelona to Bordeaux, Lisbon to St Maarten and Miami, Auckland to Lyttelton (in New Zealand), Cairns to Benoa (in Bali) and Benoa to Singapore.

Solo traveller fares start at £859 per person. Prices are cruise only and include all meals and entertainment.

Windstar is also offering a solo supplement of just 20 per cent on over 70 worldwide sailings departing between October 24, 2022 and April 4, 2024, with solo prices starting from £1,021 per person for a 15-night Transatlantic sailing from Barbados to Lisbon departing March 29, 2023 on Wind Star.

Agents booking any of these solo fare sailings will receive a £25 gift voucher of their choice. There is no limit to the number of bookings, so the more of these cruises that agents book, the more money they will earn.

Meanwhile, Windstar has partnered with the Coral Gardeners. a Mo’orea-based organisation in French Polynesia aiming to revolutionise ocean conservation and create a global movement to save the coral reefs through reef restoration, awareness activities and innovative solutions.

The three-year partnership begins this month with Windstar’s $35,000 donation to Coral Gardeners to adopt coral for all guests sailing with Windstar in French Polynesia for the remainder of 2022.

“This new partnership is a wonderful way for us to celebrate Tahiti during our 35th anniversary season, but more importantly to make a positive impact for the future of these incredible islands,” said Windstar president Christopher Prelog
